The Guillotine Choke is perhaps the most basic submission hold in fighting. It comes instinctually to just about everyone. What isn't so simple, is escaping a guillotine. Often, your instincts work against you and put you in more danger. In this video, I will show you what I call the Elbow Escape. This works for neck only (no arm inside grip) guillotines, and is pretty much the only escape I use. It is simple and should be a part of everyone's defensive skill set.
