No AccessOnce you understand how to frame, then escaping the squeeze pass simply becomes a matter of reestablishing your frames. The problem most people have is that they start the process by trying to get their under hook frame back, and rarely have any luck doing so. That's because your opponent's head will be right on top of your shoulder and their chest tight to yours, not leaving any space to pummel in for an under hook. Instead, you should be fighting for your frame against their cross face. There is much more space to sneak your frame back in, as their arm pit is completely exposed here. Plus, we can use our half guard (ideally a lock down) and some shoulder pulling to get their chest level a bit lower to make the pummel even easier.
