Arm Drag Defense to Knee Pick
Need Help? Email: info@ffacoach.com
The arm drag is one of the most basic wrestling movements to take the back from standing. Three simple movements and you will be on the opponent's back in no time. But, it is also quite simple to defend. Often, you will see people simply tuck their elbow quickly back as they step away to keep their back safe.
We all know this counter intuitively, but there is almost always a counter to the counter. In this case, we have two! The first, is to go into a far knee pick. The pulling back of the far side of their body exposes the near leg, and we can capitalize on that with a clean knee pick. The second, is to go for a snatch single leg by pushing their far side even further away.
